Ryan Taylor

Ryan Taylor is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in dynamic positioning operations. Currently serving as a Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator at Stena Drilling since August 2021, Ryan previously held the position of Chief Mate SDPO and 2nd Officer DPO at Swire Pacific Offshore from January 2013 to August 2021. In these roles, responsibilities included the safe navigation of vessels, maintenance of safety and navigation equipment, and participation in safety training and meetings. Ryan began the maritime career as a Deck Cadet at Crystal Pool Ltd from October 2009 to December 2011. Educational qualifications include a Chief Mates Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2) in Nautical Science from City of Glasgow College (2017-2018) and a degree in Nautical Science from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies (2009-2012).
