Krister Laag

Krister Laag has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Krister started their career as a Lieutenant in the Swedish Armed Forces from 1986 to 1988. Krister then worked as an Application System Designer at Contal AB in 1988-1989 and as a System Consultant/Engineer at Trifolium System AB from 1989 to 1992.

In 1993, Krister became the CIO at Connexion Marketing AB, where they worked until 1998. Krister then joined Citat AB as an MIS from 1998 to 2008.

From 2010 to 2011, Krister worked as an IT Consultant at MacSupport. Krister later founded and served as CEO of Preactive AB from 2011 to 2015. In this role, they were responsible for IT consulting, technical project management, and procurement assistance. Krister also worked on various projects related to VMWare, InfoBlox, MDM, and network management.

Krister also founded and served as the Chairman of the Board at Makranit AB from 2016 to 2021. In 2016, they joined Stendahls as a CIO and then transitioned to the role of iCIO in 2017.

Throughout their career, Krister has been involved in numerous projects and has attended various events and conferences, such as VMWorld, MacSysAdmin, SXSW, and WoodWing Xperience. Krister has extensive experience in areas like storage systems, virtualization, network management, and IT consulting.

Krister Laag has a diverse educational background in the field of technology and telecommunications.

In 1972, they started their education at Buråsskolan, where they studied for four years. Krister then continued their education at Götabergsskolan from 1972 to 1977.

After completing their secondary education, Krister Laag pursued a Technical College Graduate degree in the field of Telekom at Polhemsgymnasiet from 1981 to 1986.

Throughout their career, Krister Laag also participated in various webinars and training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills. In 2012, they attended webinars such as "Tech Series: Whats New in Lion" at Apple, "Webinar: Making Metadata Work for You" at Canto, "Webinar: Advanced Image Processing with Canto Cumulus" at Canto, "Webinar: GetStarted CrashPlanPro & Beyond the Basics" at Code 42, and "VMware vSphere 5: Install, Configure, Manage" at Cornerstone.

In the same year, Krister Laag obtained the Halon Certified Partner certification in Halon Secure Router at Halon. Krister also attended the "Kerio Connect 7.4 - Whats new" training at Moreware and "Palo Alto Networks Firewall: Installation, Configuration, Management and Troubleshooting" at Radpoint.

Additionally, Krister Laag obtained certifications from Apple, including the Apple Product Professional (APP) certification in 2011 and the Apple Sales Professional (ASP) certification in the same year. Krister also achieved the Apple Certified Support Professional 10.6 (ACSP 10.6) certification in 2010 at Function.

Krister Laag further expanded their expertise by completing the "CCSA update" course in Customized CheckPoint VPN-1/Firewall-1 at Cygate Måldata in 2003. In 2002, they attended the "Mac OS X Server Essentials 10.2" training at LAI.

Other certifications that Krister Laag obtained include the "Windows 2000 Server Systemadministration" certification at Computime Electronics AB in 2001, the "Supporting Mac OS X 10.1" training at LAI and SOS Datakraft in the same year, and the "Certified CheckPoint Security Administrator" (CCSA) certification at Salcom in 1998.

Aside from their education and certifications in technology and telecommunications, Krister Laag also obtained certifications in other areas. Krister received the Top Rope Climbing certification from Fysiken Friskvård i Göteborg AB in 2013, the PADI Open Water certification from PADI in 1999, the Extreme Certified Specialist - NetSight (ECS-NetSight) certification from Extreme Networks in 2015, and the Kerio Certified Sales Professional and Kerio Certified Technician certifications from Kerio Technologies in 2013.
