Michael Jacobson

Michael Jacobson has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Michael currently works at Steno as the Director of People Operations since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Aventri from December 2018 to April 2022, holding the position of Director of Learning & Development and Legal Affairs. In this role, they were responsible for managing the company's learning and development strategy, performance management process, and implementing unconscious bias training for people managers. Before Aventri, Michael was employed at XpertHR from August 2011 to December 2018. During their time there, they served as the Head of Learning and Development, leading a team of Product Specialists and enhancing the learning curriculum for the US Sales Team. Additionally, they held the position of Legal Editor and Product Specialist, creating and managing employment law content, conducting client consultations, and developing training curriculum for new starters. Michael Jacobson completed their education with a Juris Doctor degree in Constitutional Law from Cardozo School of Law from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from Binghamton University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
