Simon Trevethick has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Simon is currently the Head of Communications at StepChange Debt Charity, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Media and PR Manager for StepChange Debt Charity from July 2019 to February 2023. Simon also worked as a Senior Press Officer at Crisis from September 2015 to July 2019. Before that, they were the Interim Press Officer at the National Union of Students (UK) from June 2015 to August 2015. Simon's previous roles include Comms Assistant at the Association Of Teachers and Lecturers from January 2014 to June 2015, In-House Journalist at HowDo from January 2013 to October 2013, Membership and Communications Lead at the National Campaign for the Arts from January 2010 to November 2012, and Artsmark Assistant at Arts Council England from August 2009 to January 2010.

Simon Trevethick began their education at the University of Nottingham in 2003, where they pursued a BA Hons degree in French and History. Simon completed this program in 2007, showcasing their interest in both language and historical studies.

Later, in 2010, Simon attended Birkbeck, University of London to obtain a PG Cert in Journalism. This undertaking lasted until 2011, highlighting their dedication to enhancing their skills in journalistic practices.
