Amanda Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amanda began their career as a Student Ambassador at Towson University Undergraduate Marketing Department in 2012. Amanda then served as a Talent Coordinator at the Student Association at University at Buffalo from 2013 to 2014.
Amanda gained teaching experience as a Student Teacher at P.S. 111, P.S. 126, Aaron School, and Stephen Gaynor School from 2014 to 2016. At Stephen Gaynor School, they later worked as an Assistant Teacher and eventually became the Head Teacher in 2018.
Outside of education, Amanda worked as a Counselor at Rein Teen Tour in 2016 and as the Director in 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Head Counselor and Assistant Counselor at Rolling River Day Camp from 2010 to 2015.
Amanda Shaw's education history begins in 2011 when they attended Towson University. Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching, as well as Special Education and Teaching. Following this, they attended the University at Buffalo from 2013 to 2014, earning another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and education. Finally, from 2014 to 2016, Amanda attended the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, where they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a specialization in Elementary Education and Teaching, as well as Special Education and Teaching.
