Melanie Mapstone

Melanie manages the transaction services team that specialises in the provision of detailed investigations to ascertain the legal and commercial risks to clients seeking to acquire or invest in a target business or financers seeking to finance an acquisition. The team also provides vendor due diligence services to clients wishing to sell a business including preparing vendor due diligence reports and virtual data room services.

Melanie qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and spent a large part of her career managing corporate finance transactions. She also spent several years acting as general legal counsel to one of the world's largest car manufacturers in its research and development company reviewing commercial contracts and advising on mergers acquisitions and disposals. Melanie also spent a number of years working for a global accountancy practice advising its client's on mergers, acquisitions and disposals before joining a global law firm to co-leading its due diligence team.
