Dana Murphy

Dana Murphy is an experienced theatre educator and program manager with a strong background in curriculum design and artistic direction. Currently serving as Manager of School Programs at Steppenwolf Theatre Company since May 2022, Dana's previous roles include Program Coordinator and Teaching Artist at DePaul University, as well as Artistic Ensemble Member and Marketing Director at Walkabout Theater Company. Dana founded and directed multiple theater companies, including John Adams Middle School Theatre and Lonesome No More! Theatre Company, earning recognition at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. An educator with experience as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Illinois Chicago, Dana holds a B.A. in Theatre from UC San Diego and is pursuing an End of Life Care certification.
