Elizabeth Ellis is currently an Audience Services Associates at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Prior to that, they worked as an Administrative Assistant and Database Coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago from February 2007 to June 2011. In that role, they created the first user-friendly diocesan clergy and congregation database, which saved the diocese more than $10,000 annually in printing and mailing costs. Elizabeth also wrote, edited, and proofread correspondence and press releases for department directors and the Office of the Bishop. In addition, they coordinated the annual Bishop’s Appeal campaigns, monitored and coordinated all departmental financial activity, including budget and expense reports, purchase orders, vendor relationships, and payment processing. Elizabeth also constructed, edited, updated, and maintained departmental web pages on the diocesan website utilizing Contribute web publishing software. Finally, they managed the annual diocesan convention, workshops, prospect luncheons, volunteer activities for The Bishop’s Associates, and other events for 5-1,000 participants.
Elizabeth Ellis studied sociology as an undergraduate at DePaul University. Elizabeth then pursued graduate studies in industrial and organizational psychology at Loyola University Chicago. After that, they studied theatre at the Royal National Theatre Studio in London, United Kingdom. Finally, they received certification as a yoga teacher from Yoga Alliance International.
Elizabeth Ellis reports to Danielle Sparklin, Director of Audience Services and Audience Experience. They are on a team with Megan Kaminsky - Associate Director of Audience Experience, Jake Ray - Associate Director of Audience Services, and Levi Smith - Audience Services Associates.
