Tegan M. has diverse work experience in various scientific and technical roles. Starting in 2015, Tegan worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Arizona State University, where they conducted experiments, performed data analysis, and completed an honors thesis. Tegan also served as a Physics and Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant and a PhysTEC Learning Assistant during their time at the university.

In 2016, Tegan worked as a summer researcher at Michigan State University, focusing on experimental single molecule biophysics and data analysis. They also presented their work at MSU.

Tegan continued their research in 2017 as a summer researcher at the National Science Foundation (NSF), where they conducted theoretical biophysics research and contributed to a publication.

In 2019, Tegan joined the University of Chicago as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, investigating the molecular mechanism of circadian rhythm in bacteria through simulations and data analysis. Tegan M. pursued a Master's degree in Biological and Physical Sciences from the University of Chicago from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, Tegan completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biophysics & Chemistry from Arizona State University, where they also obtained a certification in Machine Shop.
