Katherine Nauman is an accomplished dance educator and project manager with extensive experience in teaching and leadership roles within prominent dance organizations. Currently serving as Horton Faculty at ALVIN AILEY DANCE FOUNDATION, INC and teaching faculty at Steps On Broadway, Katherine specializes in Horton technique across all levels. As Project Manager for AXIS Dance Company, Katherine collaborates with artists of diverse abilities to create impactful productions. Katherine holds a significant tenure as Horton Technique Instructor at Alonzo King's LINES Ballet and has contributed to various positions, including Marketing Manager at Smuin Contemporary Ballet and General Manager at SOULSKIN Dance, a collaborative dance company. Katherine is a founding member of SOULSKIN Dance and holds a Certificate of Dance from Alvin Ailey.

Steps on Broadway, founded in 1979, is more than just a dance studio. Classes are offered seven days a week at all levels in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, tap, theater dance, hip hop, ethnic, and body conditioning. Steps is the true epicenter of New York’s professional dance community. It is home to many of the best and most world-renowned teachers, and a training ground for generations of aspiring and professional dancers. On any given day, one may take class alongside today’s performers and seasoned veterans from concert dance companies, such as New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Paris Opera, Kirov and Royal Ballets, Boston Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexions, and Martha Graham, as well as the opera, Broadway, and the commercial dance world. Steps is a celebrated space. It’s a state-of-the-art facility with an old-world ambiance and a steady pulse of passion, energy, and inspiration. It is a cultural hub, an artistic resource, and a cosmopolitan treasure.
