Thomas Russo has a extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Thomas started their career at Howard Johnson's, where they held various executive positions, including President of Restaurants and Hotels. Thomas then went on to become the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ponderosa Inc. & ESI Meats, where they operated and franchised over 800 restaurants. After that, they served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hanson Industries Housewares Group, overseeing consumer durable businesses in the United States, the Far East, and Europe. Following this, they became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Miami Subs, and later American Hospitality Concepts, Inc. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of StepStone Hospitality, where they provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of hotels including Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham, and Independent properties.

Thomas Russo has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Fordham University. Thomas also completed the Advanced Management Program at Chewton Center in Bristol, England. Additionally, they hold a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Foodservice Management Honoris Causa from Johnson & Wales University.
