Alain Smolders

Alain Smolders has extensive experience in the IT sector. Alain started their career at Avnet Logistics in 2001, where they worked as an IT Teamleader. In this role, they were responsible for managing the entire IT organization and maintenance team of the Warehouse in Tongeren. Alain also played a key role in setting up and starting the Belgium helpdesk, as well as installing server landscapes and coordinating internal projects. Later on, they joined the European project team based in Munich. In 2010, Alain Smolders joined Sterigenics as the IT Director EMEAA & Global Networks. In this position, they oversaw the IT operations of the company's facilities across the globe, ensuring the effective sterilization of products for customers.

Alain Smolders studied at Hogeschool PXL from 1989 to 1991, obtaining a Graduaat degree in Systeem - Analist.
