Gerard A. Spano

Gerard A. Spano, AIA LEED AP, serves as a Senior Advisor at Sterling Project Development, focusing on design and construction development projects since October 2017. Concurrently, Spano holds the position of Project Executive at Starrett Companies LLC, specializing in project management within a development company. An experienced educator, Spano has been teaching an overview course on the Real Estate Development Process at New York University since May 2009. Previous roles include Project Executive at Gorton & Partners, LLC, Director of Development at Ruby Ventures, and Director of Development at Scion & Stock, Inc., among others. Spano's extensive experience encompasses project management for various significant developments, including roles as VP of Project Development at Swig Equities and Senior Architect at Empire State Development Corporation. Spano began a career in architecture as a Field Architect at John Portman & Associates, following a formal education in architecture and real estate development from Syracuse University and New York University.
