Jade Cooper is a seasoned policy advisor currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since August 2025. Prior experience includes roles such as Deputy Director for the Americas at the Institute for Economics & Peace, where metrics for analyzing peace and violence were developed, and a position in Knowledge Management at UNDP, focusing on policy for Small Island Developing States. Jade previously held significant roles at The Org as VP of Insights, and as a Public Law Litigation Lawyer at the Government Legal Department and Auckland Council, managing complex legal cases. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Otago, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury.
