Tama Retherford

General Counsel at Sterling Seacrest Partners

Tama Retherford is the General Counsel for Sterling Seacrest Partners. In this role, she works directly with our senior administrative team and is responsible for leading legal initiatives for the firm.

Tama has 30 years of experience in the legal industry and recently worked as a risk management advisor with Pritchard & Jerden. She has an extensive background that includes experience in commercial litigation, contract negotiation, and property and casualty insurance.

Tama began her legal career in Tampa, Florida where she was actively involved as a member of the American Bar Association, the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers, and served as secretary for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. During that time, Tama was also a graduate of Leadership Tampa. Tama is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia and The Florida Bar.

Tama graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky.

Tama moved to the Atlanta area in 2000 where she resides in Sandy Springs. She is involved as a parishioner at the Cathedral of Christ the King, where she has served as a youth basketball coach with the Catholic Metro League of Atlanta and as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
