Gregory Zebrowski, CEM, VaPEM has a diverse and extensive work experience in various emergency management and administrative roles. Gregory started their career at Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Administrative Manager from March 2000 to March 2010. Gregory then worked at the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute as an Analyst from March 2010 to February 2014. Subsequently, they joined the Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management as an Emergency Management Specialist from February 2014 to March 2019. Gregory later became an Assistant Coordinator of Planning and Policy at the Fairfax County Department of Emergency Management & Security starting from March 2019. Currently, Gregory holds the position of Deputy Fire Chief at the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company which they started in March 2023. Additionally, they have also held the role of Captain at the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company since March 2006.

Gregory Zebrowski, CEM, VaPEM has a Master's degree in Homeland Security from Long Island University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from York College of Pennsylvania, from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Gregory has obtained various certifications related to emergency management. Gregory is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers, which they obtained in February 2021. Gregory also holds the Virginia Professional Emergency Manager certification from the VIRGINIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION, obtained in May 2021.

Gregory has completed the National Emergency Management Basic Academy offered by FEMA in September 2019. Gregory is also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), certified by the Virginia Department of Health in June 2017. Furthermore, they have completed the Advanced Professional Series from FEMA in July 2016 and is a SKYWARN Weather Spotter certified by the National Weather Service in October 2015.
