Sterling Volunteer Fire Company
The mission of the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company is to provide superior fire protection to our communitythrough the use of highly trained and motivated fire fighters, the most up to date equipment, responsible financial planning and the cooperation of our neighboring departments. The Sterling Volunteer Fire Company operates out of three fire stations, responding to more than 3,000 calls annually, and is considered to be one of the busiest and most well-trained volunteer fire companies in the State of Virginia. From these stations, volunteers respond with three fire engines, three ladder trucks, a tanker, two “Special Emergency Response Vehicles” and two command units. We spend countless hours training to maintain certifications in fire fighting, emergency medical services, and technical rescue. We are also constantly upgrading our skills and equipment to keep up with the latest technology and practices in the fire service.
