Sudipta Bhaumik

Sudipta Bhaumik is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in telecommunications and engineering. Currently serving as Vice Chair for multiple roles at the International Telecommunication Union since March 2020, Sudipta also acts as Liaison Rapporteur for ITU-T SG15. Concurrently, Sudipta is the Liaison Officer for IEC TC86 and holds leadership positions at Sterlite Technologies Limited since April 2013, including Lead for Technology and Presales and Head of Application and Standards Engineering. Sudipta's prior roles at Sterlite include responsibilities in quality assurance, application engineering, and process engineering within the optical fiber sector, alongside a strong foundation in reliability engineering from earlier positions. Sudipta's academic credentials include an M.Tech. in Ceramic Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, and a B.Tech. from the College of Ceramic Technology, Calcutta University.
