Stern Center for Language and Learning
Kathryn Grace is an educational consultant and author with extensive experience in literacy and special education. Currently serving as an Educational Consultant at Learning Roots Educational Consulting and Tutor since September 2015, Kathryn has also been a Professional Developer at The Stern Center for Language and Learning since July 1996, where workshops are designed for parents and teachers in literacy and Common Core English/Language Arts. As a Learning Specialist for the Essex Town School District since 1988, responsibilities include educational assessments, program planning, and co-teaching. Kathryn authored "Phonics and Spelling Through Phoneme-Grapheme Mapping" while with Sopris West Publishing from January 2003 to September 2015, contributing to phonological awareness education. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Language and Learning Disabilities from St. Michael's College, a Master's in Education from the University of Vermont, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Reading and Language Arts from the same institution.
