Joseph Horowitz is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in compliance, audit, and risk management. Joseph currently serves as the Director of Compliance & Audit at Stetson Cybergroup, where they prepare clients for regulatory compliance by conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations for controls implementation.

Prior to their role at Stetson Cybergroup, Joseph worked as the Deputy Director of Internal Audit at NYCERS and as an IT Audit Manager at Healthfirst and Panasonic USA. Joseph also gained valuable experience at EY, where they served as an IT RISK Advisory Manager and conducted risk assessments, evaluated client processes and controls, and reviewed third-party SOC1 and SOC2 reports.

Joseph has a strong background in internal audit and risk management. Joseph previously held positions at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Verint Systems Inc., Cablevision Systems Corp., Empire BlueCross BlueShield, and the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. In these roles, they oversaw various audits, including financial, operational, compliance, engineering, and IT audits, and advised executive management on financial, compliance, and fraud matters.

Joseph holds multiple certifications, including CISA, CDPSE, CIA, and CRMA. Joseph Horowitz has a strong education background in economics, business management, finance, and accounting. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a focus on Business, Management, and Finance from Brooklyn College. Additionally, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting from Kingsborough Community College.

Joseph Horowitz has also achieved several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Joseph obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in May 2006. In April 2013, they earned the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the same institution.
