Erica Taveras has a diverse range of work experiences in the fashion industry. Erica started their career as a Runway backstage staff at Patric Love in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Fashion Designer for ESTILOS 2015 and also participated in Dominican fashion week. Erica then worked as a Handbag design intern at 3Seven&8 and an Accesory design intern at Talbots in 2016, where they gained experience in tech-packs, market research, and design development.

From 2017 to 2021, Erica held positions as a Junior accessory & prints designer at Built NY, an Associates Accessory Designer at Danielle Nicole, and a Freelance Accessory Designer at Love2Design. In these roles, they focused on digital print-making, artwork creation, and the design and development of various accessories and licensed goods.

In 2019, Erica joined Steve Madden as an Associates designer, where they specialized in knitwear, handbags, and children's backpacks. Erica also worked on prints, digital artwork, and repeating print patterns using Illustrator and Photoshop.

Their most recent position, starting in 2020, is as an Accessory Designer at Rugged Equipment. Their responsibilities include designing and developing soft fashion accessories, print making, and creating original digital artwork.

Erica Taveras pursued their education in fashion design, starting in 2013 at Escuela de Diseño Altos de Chavon. Erica completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Fashion Design at this institution, studying from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Erica continued their education at Parsons School of Design - The New School. Erica obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion/Apparel Design, completing their studies in 2017.
