Senior Designer - Wovens at Steve Madden

Helen Jung has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. Helen began their career as a Design intern at Jill Stuart International in 2007, followed by a Design internship at Alexander Wang Inc. in 2008. Helen then worked as a Visual Merchandising Intern at INTERMIX in 2009 before becoming a Paid Design intern at Club Monaco later that year. In 2010, they joined Elizabeth and James as an Associate Designer. From 2010 to 2013, Helen worked as a Designer at Li & Fung Limited (DKNY), where they specialized in womens cut&sew knit and woven tops. In 2016, they took on the role of Freelance Designer at Elie Tahari for several months before becoming a Senior Womenswear Designer at ZARA WOMEN (saea Trading Co., Ltd) until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, Helen worked as a Senior Designer at Jonathan Simkhai, responsible for trend research and design. Currently, they are employed as a Senior designer - Wovens at Steve Madden, where they set the overall trend and direction for designs each season and creates computer-aided designs for private requests from department stores. Helen's work experience showcases their expertise and knowledge in various aspects of fashion design and trend research.

Helen Jung pursued their education in the field of Fashion/Apparel Design. Helen began their studies in 2006 at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree before continuing their education. Helen then enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology again in 2008, this time for a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Helen completed their undergraduate studies in 2010, specializing in Fashion/Apparel Design.
