Jim Taylor has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Jim most recently served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Steve Madden, starting in 2018. Prior to that, they worked at The Vitamin Shoppe from 2010 to 2017, where they held the position of Director, IT Security and Compliance. In this role, they were responsible for developing and leading the company's IT security and compliance department.

Before joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Jim worked at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) from 2001 to 2010. There, they held two positions: Director of Software Quality Assurance and Senior Project Manager, IT. In these roles, they oversaw software testing for the company and successfully completed high-profile IT projects. Notably, they managed the outsourcing of the company's S&L distribution network, resulting in significant savings.

Prior to their time at A&P, Jim worked at Unilever from 1998 to 2001 as a Senior Project Manager in Information Technology. In this role, they executed key projects in the supply chain system and managed the entire project management process.

Jim's earlier work experience includes a role as Manager of Systems Development at NJ Transit from 1992 to 1998, where they oversaw the design, development, and implementation of business systems. Jim also worked as a Software Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace from 1990 to 1992 and at Teledyne from 1987 to 1990.

Throughout their career, Jim has demonstrated a strong ability to lead and manage IT projects, develop and implement security initiatives, and drive cost savings through strategic decision-making.

Jim Taylor attended Rutgers University, College of Engineering from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering. Jim then pursued further education at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1987 to 1990, obtaining a Master of Science (M.S) degree in Electrical Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Jim Taylor obtained the PCI Internal Security Assessor certification from PCI in June 2017.
