Jia Xu

Jia Xu is an accomplished academic in the field of computer science, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Head of the NLP Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology since August 2019. Prior to this role, Jia Xu held an Assistant Professor position at The City University of New York from January 2016 to August 2019, and an Assistant Professor and Ph.D. Advisor role at Tsinghua University from December 2011 to December 2015. Additionally, Jia Xu has experience as a Senior Group Lead at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) from 2010 to 2012, and has worked as a Visiting Researcher at both Microsoft in late 2007 and IBM in early 2007. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University, a Master of Science from Technische Universität Berlin, and several degrees in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin, including a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor's Degree.
