Roshi Rose Nilchiani

Roshi Rose Nilchiani is a tenured Associate Professor of Systems Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology since October 2006, with a focus on modeling complexity, risk assessment, and design in large-scale engineered systems across various domains, including space and healthcare. Previous positions include roles as an Assistant Professor and Research Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where contributions were made to various space systems projects, including the design of a nuclear Mars mission and a space tug system. Roshi Rose Nilchiani earned a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics/Space Systems Engineering from MIT and holds a Master's degree in Engineering Mechanics/Nanotechnology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Research work has involved significant grants and roles such as Principal Investigator under DARPA and multiple defense-related programs.
