Peter E. Ruhlin

Strategic Initiatives and Chief Legal Officer for Steward Partners. Peter has over 34 years of experience in financial services, including 14 years in the wealth management industry where he co-founded and held senior management positions in several companies. He served as a Managing Partner and CFO of The Private Wealth Partners (formerly FallLine Group), as a Partner at FallLine Strategic Advisors and as the President and COO of Samoset Capital Group. Peter spent the first 20 years of his career in private law practice. He began his career as a corporate finance lawyer and most recently was a Senior Partner at Linklaters, a global law firm, where he co-founded the U.S. law practice and served as the Head of U.S. Capital Markets and the Head of the U.S. Practice – Asia. He began his career at Milbank Tweed in New York.

Peter has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. He has also completed a customized management training program at the Harvard Business School.

Peter lives on Hilton Head Island with his wife Holly. They have four adult children.
