Matthew Craig

Matthew Craig is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as the Legal Governance Director at The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association since March 2023, while also being a Partner and Lawyer at Stewart McKelvey since February 2019. Past experience includes roles as Director and VP of Community Relations at the East Coast Trail Association (September 2019 - September 2021) and Legal Counsel at Nalcor Energy (May 2017 - February 2019). Matthew began the legal career at Stewart McKelvey as an Articling Clerk before progressing to Lawyer between May 2011 and May 2017. Earlier in the career, Matthew held the position of Head of the Landscape Department at Clintar (May 2009 - September 2011) and worked as a General Labourer at Sticks and Stones Landscaping (April 2005 - September 2008). Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of New Brunswick (2009 - 2012), a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Upper Years (2004 - 2012), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science (2004 - 2012), complemented by a foundational education at Carleton North High School (2000 - 2004).
