Stuart Macgregor

Stuart has over 25 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, and he joined the Group in April 2015, initially as Group Finance Director and assumed his current role as CEO in March 2019. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business as well as articulating the vision and objectives for the Group for the longer term.

Stuart is responsible for managing the Group Board to ensure successful performance delivery against business targets. He also works with HR to manage succession management across the Group. During Stuart’s time at Stewart Milne Group, the business has grown its turnover by almost 50%, with a particular focus on homes building in North West England and the growth of the Timber Frame business.

Before joining the company, Stuart had a 15-year career with global brewing giant Heineken where he held several senior positions in the UK, the Netherlands, Portugal, Finland and Belgium. A chartered accountant by training, Stuart has extensive experience in customer and brand-focused businesses and also has worked across multi-location manufacturing environments.
