Ellen van Lemmen - Verbruggen

Ellen van Lemmen - Verbruggen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Ellen is currently serving as the Head of Marketing and Communications a.i. at Stichting BKR since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Brand and Corporate Communications at VvAA from October 2019 to April 2022. Ellen has also worked as a Senior Global Communications Manager a.i. at Centrient Pharmaceuticals from June 2019 to September 2019. Earlier in their career, they served as the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Brocacef from February 2016 to February 2019. Ellen has also held significant roles at Beiersdorf, where they served as the Head of Communications & Media - Northern Europe from May 2013 to January 2016, Marketing Director NIVEA Men Northern Europe from May 2012 to May 2013, and Manager Marketing & Communications Beiersdorf NL. from January 2009 to April 2012. Additionally, Ellen has worked as a Consultant and Interim Manager at ThePowerCompany BV from January 2005 to December 2008, and as a Client Service Director at vdbj_ from September 1999 to December 2004. Ellen also has experience as a Managing Director Publishing at European Estate Publishers BV from April 1998 to August 1999. Their early career includes roles at Elsevier as a Publisher/Publishing Director from April 1991 to March 1998 and as a Business Unit Manager Education & Events from April 1988 to May 1991.

Ellen van Lemmen-Verbruggen began their education at Stanislas College Delft, where they completed their Gymnasium degree from 1974 to 1980. Ellen then went on to attend Leiden University, where they obtained a Master's degree in History from 1980 to 1987. In 2017, Ellen pursued further education in Strategic Leadership at Nyenrode Business University. Additionally, in March 2019, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scaled Agile Framework from Scaled Agile, Inc.
