Roel van Gerwen

Roel van Gerwen, an accomplished landscape architect, has held various significant positions since 1992. Currently serving as Programma Coördinator for the Veenweiden Innovatie Programma Nederland (VIPNL) and Projectleider for Landscape and Cultural History at Stichting Landschap Noord-Holland, Roel is focused on landscape development, biodiversity, and cultural heritage. Concurrently, Roel is a part-time teacher and mentor in Landscape Architecture at the Academy van Bouwkunst in Amsterdam, fostering innovation among students. As Programmamanager for Stichting Het Huys ten Donck, Roel works to future-proof the 18th-century estate, enhancing its historical and cultural significance. Previous roles include Programma Manager for the Innovatie Programma Veen, advisor in spatial planning, and project manager for various landscape and urban design projects. Roel holds degrees from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.
