Carmen Abels

Carmen Abels is an experienced coordinator of public programs at Stichting Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen, specializing in making universal themes accessible to diverse audiences. In this role since September 2003, Carmen has excelled in concept development, programming, and the production of public events and conferences. Additionally, as a guest lecturer at Reinwardt Academie, Carmen teaches event management in historical buildings. Previously, Carmen worked as an event manager at Tropenmuseum and as a teacher of the Indonesian language at Instituut Indonesische Cursussen. Carmen's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Indonesian Languages & Cultures from Leiden University and a certificate in Event Management.
