Hedwig Saam is a seasoned professional in the cultural and artistic sectors, currently serving as a juror for the Abe Bonnema Architectuur Prijs at the Ir. 1 april 2014 is de oprichtingsdatum van de Stichting Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen. Een fusie van Museum Volkenkunde (Leiden), Tropenmuseum (Amsterdam) en Afrika Museum (Berg en Dal). Eén museum op drie locaties. De drie namen blijven bestaan.
