Annette van Valkengoed

Annette van Valkengoed currently serves as a member of the supervisory board at Stichting Openbaar Basis Onderwijs Westelijke Tuinsteden and as rector at Vathorst College since August 2020. Previously, Annette was the director at Laterna Magica in Amsterdam from January 2007 to August 2020, overseeing developmental pathways for children aged 0-18. Additionally, Annette held the position of director at De Schatkamer in Zwolle from April 2005 to June 2008, where Annette focused on establishing a new school and developing the concept of Natural Learning, as well as coaching new leadership. Annette's career began as director at De Polderhof in Almere from January 2003 to April 2005, implementing development-oriented education and integrating special education groups. Annette holds multiple advanced degrees, including a cum laude Master of Science in Educational Sciences from Open Universiteit, a Master in Educational Leadership from the University of Amsterdam, and several Master of Education degrees specializing in Special Educational Needs.
