Deanne Verkroost

Deanne Verkroost is a communication coordinator and project leader at Stichting Special Heroes Nederland since November 2021. Prior experience includes working as a junior policy officer in the social domain at Gemeente Lingewaard, where responsibilities involved volunteering, informal caregiving, and elderly policies. Deanne has also served as a marketing and communication advisor at Caresharing, focusing on enhancing user communication for a healthcare platform, as well as conducting research on e-learning implementation. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Communication, Health, and Life Sciences from Wageningen University & Research, and a thesis project at the University of Sydney on language use among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth. Additional roles include secretarial duties at W.S.R. 'Argo' and experience in housekeeping within the healthcare sector. Competitive rowing experience includes being a first-year lightweight female champion in 2015.
