Laura Nijkamp

Laura Nijkamp is a seasoned professional with expertise in policy advising and research within the fields of criminology, social work, and public safety. Currently serving as a Beleidsadviseur at Stichting Verslavingsreclassering GGZ, Laura manages portfolios related to sexual offenses, human trafficking, and financial issues, among others. As a member of the Rekenkamer in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht since 2015, Laura conducts independent assessments of municipal policies. Previous roles include senior advisor for the National Rapporteur on Human Trafficking and Sexual Violence Against Children, researcher and advisor for drug and alcohol prevention at Trimbos-instituut, and various educational positions at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Laura's academic background comprises a Master of Science in Criminology and extensive studies in social work.
