Nikolaj Stig Stoltenborg

Nikolaj Stig Stoltenborg is a grid integration and development engineer at Stiesdal since May 2021, with prior experience as a master thesis researcher at Siemens Gamesa, focusing on grid compliance related to wind turbines and synchronous generators. The master thesis received nominations for AAU's Energy Sponsor Program and the IDA E-Candidate Award 2021. Stoltenborg has held various engineering roles at Siemens Gamesa, including an electrical engineer student worker and intern specializing in offshore grid compliance, where key contributions included updates to the PowerFactory user-client model and compliance investigations with EirGrid's grid code. Educationally, Stoltenborg holds a master’s degree in Electrical Power System and High Voltage Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Energy, both from Aalborg University.
