Dr. Yasar Aydin

Dr. Yasar Aydin is a distinguished scholar currently serving as a Wissenschaftler at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), focusing on applied Turkey studies since June 2023. With a rich academic background, Dr. Aydin has held roles as a Lehrbeauftragter and Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at HafenCity Universität Hamburg and Evangelische Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit & Diakonie Hamburg from April 2012 to September 2023. Prior experience includes positions at Universität Hamburg and Hamburg Institute of International Economics, where Dr. Aydin specialized in migration and integration research, particularly Turkish-German migration. Dr. Aydin holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Hamburg, along with a Master of Arts in Sociology and Economics from Universität Hamburg and the University of Lancaster.
