Hamidreza Azizi is currently a Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and a CATS Fellow at the Centre for Applied Turkey Studies, both since March 2020. In addition, Hamidreza serves as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs and a Nonresident Fellow at The Clingendael Institute, where involvement includes co-editing the "Iran in transition" blog series. Previous positions include Associate Fellow at Al Sharq Forum, Assistant Professor at Shahid Beheshti University, Contributor at Al-Monitor, and Non-resident Fellow at the Iran & Eurasia Studies Institute (IRAS). Education includes a PhD and MA in Regional Studies from the University of Tehran, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Shahid Beheshti University.
