Claus Olesen

Co-Founder/CEO at Stipe Therapeutics

Claus Olesen has a diverse work experience that spans the fields of biotechnology, research, and sailing. Claus is the Co-Founder/CEO of Stipe Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on harnessing the immune system to fight cancer. Prior to that, they were the CEO/Co-Founder of Initiator Pharma, and Co-Founder and CBO of NMD Pharma. Claus also has experience at Aarhus University, where they worked as an Erhvervsambassadør/Research Business Manager and Senior Scientist. Claus was also a Post Doc at the university's Centre for Membrane Pumps in Cells and Disease. Additionally, Claus has experience as a Co-Founder of Pcovery Aps and as a member of the Danish Olympic Sailing Team and Victory Challenge.

Claus Olesen began their education at Park Tudor High School in 1992 and completed their studies in 1993. Claus then went on to enroll at Aarhus University, where they earned their MSc in Molecular Biology from 1996 to 2003. Afterward, Claus pursued their PhD in Biophysics at Aarhus University from 2005 to 2008. Apart from their formal education, they also obtained a 2005 Msc in Molecular Biology from Aarhus University and a 2008 Ph.D in Medicine and Biophysics from the Institute of Physiology.
