Robin van Rijn has a diverse and extensive work experience. They started their career as a Vulploegmedewerker at C1000 in 2007 and later moved to Albert Heijn in 2008, where they worked as a Vulploegmedewerker and then as a Team Lead. At Albert Heijn, Robin led teams, managed schedules, and motivated colleagues.
In 2013, Robin transitioned to the tech industry and worked as a Web Developer at Torwald, where they developed and maintained webshops. They also worked as a Software Developer at Quby, focusing on the development of the 'Eneco Toon' app and its features.
Robin joined ING in 2015 as part of the ING International Talent Programme Trainee, where they completed short-term assignments and worked abroad. They later became an Innovation IT developer/expert, contributing to software development and internal innovation projects. Robin then became a Fullstack DevOps Engineer and eventually a Lead Frontend Engineer at ING Labs. They worked on web applications for internal use and provided IT architecture consulting to innovation teams.
In 2019, Robin co-founded Stippl and assumed the role of Co-Founder & CTO. They are involved in the overall management and technology development of the company. Recently, in 2021, Robin also established their own company, Aisling Ventures BV, as the owner.

Robin obtained a Master's Degree in Information Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Robin completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2014. Before pursuing higher education, Robin attended Het Baken Park Lyceum from 2004 to 2010, where they obtained a Gymnasium degree with a focus on Science (Natuur & Techniek).
In addition to their formal education, Robin has also obtained several certifications. These include Cybersecurity Essentials (LFC108) and Green Software for Practitioners (LFC131) from The Linux Foundation in May 2023, the Graph Developer - Associate certification from Apollo GraphQL in March 2023, the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in May 2019, and the Passed CFA Level I certification from CFA Institute in June 2016. Robin also completed courses such as Functional Program Design in Scala and Functional Programming Principles in Scala on Coursera in December 2018 and October 2018, respectively. Furthermore, Robin obtained the Inleiding Bankbedrijf 2013 certification from NIBE-SVV, a financial services training provider, in January 2016 and the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in November 2015.
