Gene Norris is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as Senior Electrical Engineer at Stirling Ultracold since July 2015, Gene leads the electrical engineering group, focusing on the design and manufacture of ultra-low temperature freezers and embedded systems development. Prior to this role, Gene was Chief Engineer at SPOT Engineering, Inc., overseeing turnkey electrical control systems for automated manufacturing. Gene also held the position of Engineering Manager at Athens Technical Specialists, Inc., where project management and staff supervision were key responsibilities. Previous roles included Electrical Engineer at SPOT Technology, where custom digital and analog systems were designed, and Teaching Assistant at Ohio University, instructing students on electronics and micro-processing. Gene Norris holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, completed in 1995, and served as a firefighter in the United States Air Force from 1988 to 1992.
