Derek Bennett

Derek Bennett is an accomplished software engineer and team lead with extensive experience in data infrastructure and technical architecture. Currently serving as the Team Lead and Software Engineer for Platform Data Infrastructure at Stitch Fix since April 2016, Derek supports a team of approximately 80 data scientists. Prior roles include Solutions Architect at mFoundry and Fidelity National Information Services, where Derek led technical design for mBanking applications, and Senior Software Engineer at Brighterion, focusing on fraud detection solutions. Earlier career highlights include Director of the Platform Software Group at Wireless Matrix, Chief Architect and Operations Officer at Tegrasol, and Senior Consultant at ILOG, developing optimization models. Derek holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University.
