Diane Ray

SVP of Network, COO & Chief Nursing Officer at St. Luke's Hospital

For more than 40 years, Diane Ray, RN, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, has passionately worked to improve the quality of life for St. Luke's Hospital patients and the community. In 2018, she was appointed senior vice president, network chief nursing officer and St. Luke's Hospital chief operating officer. Prior to her current role, Diane served as St. Luke's vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer. She has held a number of leadership positions in her tenure with the health system, including director of nursing and head nurse for neuroscience services and intensive care.

Diane is committed to creating an exceptional patient experience, inspiring continuous process improvement and mentoring future leaders and innovators. She chairs St. Luke's patient satisfaction committee, and through her leadership, St. Luke’s has received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from Healthgrades® for the past 11 years. Her unwavering dedication to excellence in patient care has led to many enhancements in quality and outcomes.

Diane received her bachelor's degree in nursing and her master's in business administration from Maryville University. She serves on the boards of directors of Midwest Stone Institute, St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital, St. Luke’s Surgery Center of Chesterfield, St. Luke’s WHC,LLC, St. Luke’s Rayus, LLC, St. Luke’s Rayus Open MRI of Missouri, LLC, and the Heart Care Center, LLC.
