Jeffrey Kissel

Jeffrey Kissel has been a CEO, director and other executive roles in both private and public companies since 1986, working in infrastructure and the energy sector in North America, Europe and Asia. He lived and worked in Hawaii for many years, most recently as president and CEO of HawaiiGAS and as the executive director for Hawaii Health Connector, the Affordable Care Act exchange for the purchase of Health Insurance. Prior to becoming the CEO for HawaiiGAS, he focused on environmental engineering, renewable energy and environmental remediation where he served in senior leadership positions shaping corporate strategy, developing new technology and preparing organizations to participate successfully in the 21st Century global economy.

In January 2013, Jeff was appointed to serve a term on the National Petroleum Council by the Hon. Steven Chu, US Secretary of Energy. He is also a trustee of the Energy Policy Research Foundation, a nonpartisan research organization that studies energy economics and policy issues with special emphasis on oil, natural gas and petroleum product markets. He retired from HawaiiGAS in 2013 and continues to serve on the boards and executive committes for a number of associations and organizations.
