Karen Delfau

Karen Delfau is a seasoned professional specializing in gender equality, social inclusion, and water governance, currently serving as a Gender & Social Inclusion Specialist and Research Consultant at the Alliance for Water Stewardship - Asia Pacific since March 2021. After holding several key positions, including Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, and Disability Inclusion Advisor at SEI, and an adjunct researcher at the Institut de recherche sur l'Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine, Karen has contributed to numerous initiatives such as leading courses at Sciences Po Toulouse and facilitating corporate sustainability projects at Earthwatch Institute. Moreover, as Executive Director of the International WaterCentre Alumni Network, Karen drives strategic planning and member engagement, showcasing extensive expertise across interdisciplinary programs related to water management. Current educational pursuits include a Doctorate in Knowledge Management and Co-creation for water governance at Sciences Po Toulouse, building upon prior degrees in Integrated Water Management and Public International Law.
