Vlad Stoica

Vlad Stoica is the current Head of Design at STOICA. Vlad was previously a Backend Developer at Wonderbly from July 2015 to March 2018. As part of the Core team at Wonderbly, Vlad oversaw the e-commerce engine built on top of Solidus, a Ruby on Rails framework.

Some of Vlad's accomplishments at Wonderbly include increasing conversion rates in various markets by implementing new local payment methods (Klarna, PayU Latam), increasing speed of RSpec Suite by 40% by moving to transactional fixtures, and increasing the overall speed of the application by upgrading from Rails 4 to Rails 5 and Solidus 1.* to Solidus 2.*. Vlad also contributed bug-fixes and features back to Solidus, and reduced shipping time by integrating with new print houses all around the world.

Vlad Stoica's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Management from King's College London, as well as a Bacalaureat in Computer Science from Colegiul National de Informatica "Tudor Vianu."
