Karthik Rau has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Karthik began their career in 2007 as Senior Director of the Microcontroller Business Unit at Atmel Corporation, where they were responsible for design and delivery of low-power 8-bit microcontrollers (AVR), 32-bit microcontrollers (ARM), IoT processors and capacitive touch-sensing controllers. Karthik also established Atmel's India Design Center and grew the team to over 100 engineers. In 2006, they moved to GainSpan as Director of Silicon Engineering and was responsible for the design and development of a Wi-Fi system-on-chip for wireless sensor network applications. In 2015, Karthik founded and became CEO of FLICQ, where they developed smart sensors, algorithms and IoT platforms for industrial and consumer applications. Most recently, in 2020, they founded and became CEO of Stoke Systems, where they help improve uptime, reduce maintenance costs and maximize productivity for remote industrial assets by making it easy to monitor them, regardless of where they are located.
