Aaron Rice

Aaron Rice is an experienced Project Scientist and Staff Scientist at Stone Environmental, where work has been ongoing since June 2017. Prior to this role, Aaron worked as a self-employed backcountry skier with the ambitious goal of achieving 2.5 million vertical feet in a calendar year, starting January 1, 2016. Aaron's technical expertise includes a position as a Software Engineer at GroupHigh, a Mavrck Company, where tasks involved Java programming for data collection and management in a distributed system. Additionally, from January 2011 to September 2012, Aaron served as a Data and Website Coordinator for The Vermont Monitoring Cooperative, managing a MySQL database and automating data processes. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont's Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, completed in 2012.
