Benjamin Freund

Benjamin Freund has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Benjamin is currently working as a Data Scientist at IVADO Labs since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Shopify as a Data Scientist from January 2021 to December 2022. Benjamin also has experience as a Data Scientist at Ciena, where they worked from July 2019 to December 2020. During their time at Ciena, they worked on production-quality spark structured streaming pipelines and built pre-processing pipelines for machine learning-readable data.

Before their industry experience, Benjamin worked as a PHD Student at CERN from September 2015 to July 2019. Benjamin also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Argonne National Laboratory from July 2014 to May 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at McGill University from September 2013 to April 2014. Benjamin started their career as a Student Research Assistant at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin from April 2012 to July 2013. Throughout their career, Benjamin has developed strong skills and expertise in data science and has a proven track record of success in their field.

Benjamin Freund has a strong educational background in physics. Benjamin obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Technische Universität Berlin in 2012. In 2010-2011, they spent an exchange year at Université de Montréal, furthering their studies in physics. Benjamin then pursued a Master's degree in Physics at McGill University from 2013 to 2015. Finally, Benjamin completed their academic journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from Université de Montréal between 2015 and 2019.
