Charl Botha

Charl Botha has a diverse and extensive work experience. Charl currently holds the position of Chief Data Scientist at Stone Three since June 2023, after serving as the Chief Information Officer from May 2021 to June 2023. Prior to joining Stone Three, Charl founded vxlabs in 2012, where they work as an Engineer and Founder. Charl is also associated with Stone Three Healthcare, where they served as the Chief Science Officer from July 2019 to February 2021. Charl has also held roles such as Science Officer at Stone Three Venture Technology from February 2014 to June 2019, Sr. Data Visualization & Software Engineer at Treparel from January 2005 to December 2017, and Project Engineer at Stone Three Signal Processing from January 2000 to August 2000. Charl has also contributed to various research and academic institutions, including roles at Leiden University Medical Center and Delft University of Technology.

Charl Botha completed their education with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, which they obtained from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, where they also completed their B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering from 1993 to 1997.
